Substation Foreman
Lead substation construction crews from the foundation through the moment the system goes live. Field-based work on our utility, hyperscale, and federal projects. About 80% travel within Texas and the Southeast.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do.
- Run a full-time crew of 6 to 10 people on substation construction and expansion projects.
- Coordinate site work, steel, and electrical crews — all from our company, no general contractor layer.
- Own daily production reports, safety meetings, and customer communication.
- Coordinate with our controls engineers on relay panel installation and testing.
- Manage materials staging and equipment delivery against the energization schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
What you bring.
- 8 or more years of substation construction experience, including new builds from scratch.
- Current OSHA 30 certification and First Aid/CPR.
- Experience running crews on real schedule-driven work, not just paperwork.
- Familiarity with both open-air and gas-insulated substations. Gas-handling experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license. CDL preferred but not required.
NICE TO HAVE
Bonus.
- Past work on customer-side substations for data center campuses.
- NCCER substation certifications.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
BENEFITS
What we offer.
- Full medical, dental, and vision (100% paid for the employee).
- 401(k) with 5% match.
- Take-home truck and tools.
- Three weeks of paid time off, which we expect you to actually use.
- Profit-sharing bonus on completed substation milestones.
